I am interested in shaving razor, like last year. In the end I took the plunge and bought a razor in a decent antique shop. There are two problems, but: 1) I'm not quite ready to throw in the financial, to ensure good quality water to make bricks and buy leather strop, and 2) I did not want all the blades Derby Edge I for my refusal Double Gillette razor.

Solution? Buy a Parker SR1 "Razor" as a temporary solution!

Okay, I'm usingthis shaver for the last 3 weeks or so I grabbed the knife DE Derby in two. The learning curve was more or less as the learning curve, I had to go to the shaving razor about a week and a half.

I can cast a shadow of a doubt that my beard is to say now more than ever. closer and less irritation ... and more fun! All the things I noticed when I walked out of a Gillette Fusion razor, only now are just much better. As for the razor itself isin question could not be happier. It feels good in your hand, has a nice weight and holds the knife very secure. The oscillation is quite narrow, so I do not always change the feeling of concern for the corner half way.

If you decide to take the plunge (and I would encourage you to do this if they are still at the point of reading reviews for this shaver), there are three things I want to recommend:

1) If you do not already have a blade that you prefer, take a sample packWest Coast of razor blades and choose what works best for your face / skin. Then you can buy a larger package of the brand. A pack of 100 Derby blades cost me $ 20 ... that the 200-sheet refills for this razor!

2) until you get the hang of shaving razor ... Drive slowly! They will focus on the first section: to accept the fact that at this time. But you can cut and potential danger by taking care to minimize your time.

3) Have fun. razor shaving begins,very nice for me that has a dual effect. First, I do not think that now it takes a bit 'longer to complete the shave. Secondly, I am more comfortable with the process and discover that I have a better control of the blade, if I enjoy my time.
